Welcome to La Blanchardiere and our romantic lakeside stone cottage set in a peaceful location with beautiful countryside views in rural France.

Close to the borders of Normandy and Brittany​ situated just outside of the village of La Doree. Its a beautiful and tranquil location set in two acres of land with lovely countryside views to enjoy. You can wander around soaking up the peace and tranquillity and maybe try a little fishing

You can relax in your own private garden area and watch the ducks and kingfishers and enjoy an alfresco meal

Our nearest town is Fougerolles-du-Plessis which is 3km away with bars, shops and a restaurant, post office, banks and a chemist
Fougeres is 24km away and is a major tourist attraction with its 1000 year old chateau, lots of restaurants, shops, supermarkets even a bowling alley and swimming pool

For those interested in the history of Normandy and D-Day landing beaches its around an hour away
There's the famous Bayeux Tapestry and the amazing Mont St Michel just 40 minutes away
